Justine suffered as a child from her father’s violence and battles with alcohol; he abandoned the family, leaving her mother as the sole provider. Hunger was a constant threat, and her mother struggled on but couldn’t meet the family’s needs.
But things changed when Justine registered with the Compassion program and was enrolled in school. She excelled as a student and went on to gain a university degree, overcoming poverty not only with new skills and knowledge but with the strength of her heavenly Father.
Now a mother of her own daughters, Justine is determined to break the cycle of poverty and destructive relationships. She works as an advocate for children, helping connect them to Christian education.
