Childhood should be full of exploration, learning and growth. But children in poverty are often focused simply on living day to day. Safe water, education, medical care, and even safe housing are substandard or nonexistent, resulting in malnutrition, child labor, abuse and hopelessness. Poverty is a vicious cycle, but it can be broken.
With over 70 years of experience, Compassion has found the most effective way to care for children in need is in partnership with the local church.
This is why we partner with more than 8,000 local churches in 29 countries to deliver God’s love and care to children in need – one child at a time. Today, more than 2.3 million children are breaking the cycle of poverty for good.
