Day 19 - Abused Children

In a society that values family loyalty above all, child abuse is not always reported. There aren’t enough child protection services and some police forces are corrupt, so many children learn to keep their abuse silent. Children between ages 5 and 12 are most vulnerable to being abused, and an estimated 70 percent of Indian girls say they have been neglected by family members — including being denied food and being forced to work in dangerous conditions.

Pray for protection for the most vulnerable children.

Pray that parents will understand how to discipline their children in healthy, loving ways.

Pray that abused girls will have a safe place to go when they do not feel safe at home.
