When you volunteer at Compassion you make a real and lasting impact in the world by helping us serve kids around the world more effectively! There’s so much you can do, using your specific skills, interests and abilities.
For up to twenty hours per week or as few as four to six hours per week, you can volunteer in Colorado Springs or from the comfort of your home to make a difference in children’s lives around the world.
Volunteer Opportunities to serve may include:
- Compassion assisted children and their sponsors exchange more than 4 million letters a year! This all happens onsite at our Global Ministry Center, and often produces special projects and campaign mailings that we find ourselves needing extra help getting out the door. If interested in this type of work, please apply to the GMC Onsite Volunteer role. (Note: this role is based in Colorado Springs, and only open to local volunteers.)
- Data is an invaluable mission necessity, and we are seeking to make data driven choices. If you think that data work & internet research is for you and want to join our remote or onsite efforts in this realm, please apply for the GMC Onsite or GMC Remote volunteer role.
- Remote Church Advocate Volunteer role: Interested in walking alongside church partners as they engage with Compassion Sunday’s for the first time? This role is for you! We need volunteers who want to dive into this relational forward facing role to better equip our Church Partners for amazing Compassion Sunday impact! If you’re interested in learning more about this particular role, email [email protected] for specific details on how you would do this. (NOTE: This is a remote role and you will not be needing to travel.)
Curious about what other types of tasks our remote, onsite, and church advocate volunteers work on? See below for some examples.
Church partnership coaching, prayer team & staff support, event material preparation, special mailings and campaign materials, building tours, editing & copy writing, as well as onsite hospitality at the headquarters.
