The Problem

Countless obstacles stand in the way for babies and new mothers living in poverty. Medical centers are far away, parent education is out of reach, and malnutrition hinders breastfeeding and healthy development. But it doesn’t need to be this way.

Our church partners are ready to step in and offer pregnant mothers with prenatal care and education, and then provide assistance during the birth and their babies’ first year of life. The medical care, spiritual guidance and even income-generation training offered by our church partners all work together to empower mothers to be the best caregiver they can be for their baby, and to create a happy and healthy household.

Last year alone, the mothers of over 63,000 babies were served. With your support, we can hold the shadows of poverty at bay for more babies, ensuring they have the best start to life.

The Sobering Facts

91%

and 85% of infant deaths occur in regions where we serve.

60%

of mothers in target countries

1 of 2

deaths under age 5
is attributed to undernutrition.

By making a gift today, you will help us reach mothers and babies so they can survive and thrive.

Local leaders in Haiti, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Togo have shared that infant survival and care is a critical need in their country. Mortality rates are high, and babies that do survive often suffer from malnutrition — hindering their long-term development.

With your help, we can reach an estimated 8,595 babies in these countries, alongside their mothers, with essential nutrition, regular medical exams and parent education and spiritual support in the coming year.
