COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nov 1, 2024 – Compassion International has released its annual Accountability Report for fiscal year 2024 (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024). The purpose of the report is to provide a transparent look at key metrics and outcomes for the organization.
In a message included in the report, the chair of Compassion’s board, Dr. Judy B. Golz, says this is a pivotal time in Compassion’s history. “After years of effort to build critically needed capabilities, we believe the ministry is now poised to step into a future of even greater harvest. The time is now.”
Compassion switched from a simple annual report to the more comprehensive Accountability Report in 2020, to meet the needs of supporters and donors, who have expressed a desire for deeper understanding of the ministry’s program effectiveness, strategic goals, financial health and more.
Some highlights from the FY24 report:
- surpassing more than 8,600 frontline church partners
- updates on expansion efforts into four new countries (Cambodia, Malawi, Myanmar and Zambia), bringing the total of program countries to 29
- $1.3 billion in revenue, marking 27 consecutive years of increased revenue
- A study of alumni in the Dominican Republic that shows strong, long-term, positive impacts and ripple effects of Compassion’s child development program
“This year’s report reflects the hard work and dedication of countless project members and subject matter experts across the organization,” said Joe Wilkins, Chief Financial Officer for the ministry in a message to Compassion staff. “As you read it, I hope you find a greater understanding of how we’ve progressed and where the good Lord is leading our ministry. We praise God for his guidance this past year and trust him to move us forward to serve more children in FY25 and beyond!”
