For years, becoming a pen pal with someone across the world has been a great way to learn about another culture, cultivate new friendships, and even practice another language.

When you sponsor a child, your sponsored child receives much needed support that goes way beyond a letter. It’s more than just an international pen pal.

How it Works

How do I write my sponsored children?

Will someone translate my letter?

Our Compassion translators take great care in translating your letter into your sponsored child’s language. Then when your child responds with a letter, our translators will translate it back into your language.

Maybe you don’t need a translator because you speak your sponsored child’s language. This provides you with a means to practice your language skills and write to your child in their their language. What a great connection!

For $43 per month, you will have a lasting impact in your sponsored child’s life. Compassion will provide much needed assistance to your child. Your support provides a child living in poverty with a loving church-based Child Sponsorship Program that includes:

medical checkups,
nutritious food,
nutritious food,
access to clean water,
training in life skills,
health and hygiene training,
educational assistance,
access to special services (surgeries, disaster relief) when needed,
mentoring,
and the opportunity to hear about Jesus.
