Week 50 - The Power of a Letter

When 7-year-old Lizbeth receives a letter from her Compassion sponsor, she takes it to the pasture where she watches her family’s livestock after school. While tending the animals, she says, "I read the letter many times to memorize everything my sponsor tells me." Then taking a pencil and piece of paper to write a reply, she adds, "When I grow up, I want to learn English so I can communicate with my sponsor in her language."
