Week 32 - Patiently Waiting

Sophia, whose favorite toy is her blue bunny, Sansão, looks forward to returning to her Compassion center, closed since the beginning of the pandemic. "I love to talk to my ‘aunts’ [center workers], play ball with my friends and draw," she says. Though Compassion centers, like Sophia’s, across Brazil have been closed for regular activities over the past year, staff have continued to work hard, delivering food and hygiene supplies to families, and regularly checking up on the children in their care.
