Week 35 - Grandmother’s Helper

Each day after school, Tracy hurries to her grandmother’s small grocery shop on a busy street in Kenya’s Kawangware slum. Here, the third grader multitasks, doing her homework in between selling produce to customers. She says, "I love to help my grandmother at the shop. Plus, it helps me learn how to talk to people and practice mathematics by working out the change to give back."
