Week 51 - Christmas, Ethiopian Style
For Haregwa, Christmas is a special celebration with her sons, Yeabsira (left) and Mentesnot. Dressed in traditional white Ethiopian clothes worn only for special occasions, the family opens their home to friends and neighbors for a simple, but festive meal. After joining Compassion's Survival Program with Yeabsira several years ago, Haregwa accepted Christ as her Savior. Since then, she says what warms her heart most about Christmas is "understanding the true meaning of the season." We pray that your heart is also warmed by the true meaning of Christmas this year, despite the challenges in recent months.
