Vice President of the Africa Region
Palamanga joined Compassion in 2009 as the Burkina Faso national director — a position he held for seven years before serving as Compassion Africa’s senior regional director. In 2019 he was promoted to vice president of the Africa Region. He is a member of the Program Leadership Team and collaborates with the other regions to influence global programmatic thinking and support alignment with the other regions.
Prior to his work with Compassion, Palamanga served in multiple roles in the development sector, including positions within the government of Burkina Faso, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Namibia and Mali, and the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) in Benin and Senegal.
Palamanga holds a master’s degree in economic policy management and economics (development planning) and a bachelor’s in statistics and applied economics. He is married and has three children.
