Vice President of Enterprise Execution
Karen Hoida joined Compassion International as director of Risk Management in 2012. After standing up the Risk Management division, Karen was promoted to senior director of Incident Response, where she continued to build Compassion’s Global Security, Environmental Health & Safety, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Investigations, and Response and Assistance Center teams. In 2021, Karen assumed the role of vice president of Enterprise Execution. With this added responsibility, Karen is building the Integrated Execution System, Compassion’s system and processes essential in the execution of enterprise-level strategic work.
Karen’s past professional experience includes 18 years of practicing law in the areas of litigation management, real property and insurance. Much of that time, she served as regional vice president and in-house counsel leading a team of attorneys across the western half of the United States, Guam and Saipan.
Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, Davis, a Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law and a master’s degree in theology from Iliff School of Theology.
