Donors Like You Supported Children in the Philippines After a Super Typhoon

People in the Philippines are accustomed to strong storms, with an average of 10 typhoons hitting land each year. Super Typhoon Haiyan, however, was anything but average.

This storm left more than 4,000 families of sponsored children without homes and without food. Generous supporters like you empowered Compassion workers to provide immediate relief —needs such as food and water. In the following months, ongoing gifts helped restore lives with counseling, medical aid and income-generating assistance for families.

Because of donations to the Disaster Relief Fund, over 6,500 people were aided in the months following Typhoon Haiyan. For others in the midst of dark storms, you can step in to provide help and hope.
