Amor shows a deep and personal passion for the untapped potential of children in her daily life.
Raised in poverty herself, in Davao City, Philippines, Amor once thought that hope is reserved only for the privileged. All that changed, though, when she was enrolled in Compassion’s Child Development Program at six years old. Through her sponsorship, Amor’s nutritional, educational, and health needs were taken care of, allowing her to focus on developing her full potential.
After high school and with assistance from Compassion, she attended Ateneo de Davao University and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She was on staff at Compassion Philippines for several years before relocating overseas. Amor is pursuing a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Amor is a compassionate and thoughtful communicator, with wisdom far beyond her years. She speaks passionately about child advocacy, the challenges of poverty, and the transformational power of education and hope.
Amor lives in California with her husband Brian and son Lucas.
