Our mission at Church at the Cross is ‘Helping people and places encounter Jesus’. Our partnership with Compassion empowers us to accomplish that mission even in far-away places such as Ecuador.

Church at the Cross began partnering with Compassion International in 2016 with a focus to sponsor children in Ecuador. Whenever a child is sponsored at Compassion, a church in that community is empowered to disciple and teach the Bible, to help with education, physical needs and health, and to develop that child socially. Essentially, Compassion International exists to empower churches to release children from poverty in Jesus name. Currently, Church at the Cross sponsors 222 children in Ecuador.

Church at the Cross has joined Dallas Chinese Bible Church to fund a new Compassion program in a church in the northern area of Ecuador. This new Compassion center has launched with 150 children, allowing them to hear the Gospel and learn about the Bible. Additionally, that local church will help those children with education, food, healthcare and social development.
