In Picot, Haiti, Acelie faces a perfect storm of disasters: the lingering effects of COVID-19, an earthquake that devastated homes and the unfolding food crisis. However, Acelie, whose two children are registered with Compassion, says that because of the support of friends like you, her family has food from the grocery baskets from the center — and the hope that they are not alone.

“The church helps me keep faith in God because sometimes I feel like giving up,” says Acelie. “They give me hope and patience to know that sometimes there are dark moments, but God does not give up on us.”
