I am so beyond excited for the opportunity to collaborate with Compassion International to make a difference in kids lives!

I was a child when my family first heard about Compassion. We sponsored a little girl, Durga, from India! Even though I didn't always understand how different of worlds we lived in, I knew that we were helping to give her opportunities she may not have otherwise had. As I've grown up, kids have become my passion - so much so that I went to school to become an elementary teacher. I taught for three years before becoming a full time mom to four beautiful babes. Taking care of children took on a whole new meaning.

I now understand better how hard it must be to be a parent who can't provide the basic needs for their children. I heard about the Compassion organization many times at concerts and church events before my family decided it was right for us to sponsor a child ourselves. To make a difference in the life of even just one child and fulfill God's commandment to defend the weak.

Over the past five years I've had the opportunity to create a business on Instagram. I started my business teaching mommas how to turn their houses into homes they love on a single or small income budget, teaching easy DIY's and affordable options to high-end looks. This little business, Proverbs31Girl, has taken off and since become so much more.

I have been able to share Jesus with so many, speak life into a dark world, and now, with the help of Compassion, bring help to kids in low- and middle-income countries! I am beyond honored to use the platform that God has given me to help kids and know it's been a part of His plan all along.
