Child Evangelism
Compassion was founded in 1952 by an evangelist named Everett Swanson, and since that time we have not departed from his original vision for child evangelism. In fact, child evangelism is at the core of everything we do. Our whole purpose is to save children by leading them to the feet of Christ and out of poverty.
All around the world, Compassion partners with local churches to engage in child evangelism. Church staff receive training on child evangelism, child development and creating age-appropriate Bible curriculum.
Every child development center incorporates child evangelism into their program activities in an age-appropriate, culturally sensitive way. Each child who attends a Compassion center has the opportunity to hear the gospel and accept Jesus as his or her Savior.
Engage in your own personal child evangelism today by sponsoring a child in need today for just $43 a month. You can offer your child the basic necessities of life, but more importantly, you can offer hope.
